Manchester Airport is the UK’s largest airport outside of London, and third largest in the country, connecting the North of England to hundreds of destinations across the world.

Manchester Airport is an essential airport for domestic and international connectivity, connecting your customers to over 200 destinations worldwide. In September 2025 alone, the airport welcomed over 3.1 million passengers, contributing to a rolling 12-month total of 31.8 million – a 5.5% year-on-year growth which only strengthens its importance as a key hub for both leisure and corporate travel.

Offering flights to over 200 destinations worldwide, Manchester Airport is a critical part of the UK’s transport infrastructure. Its growing global reach not only boosts tourism but also strengthens trade and investment links across the North of England. More than just a transport hub, it is also a major engine of economic growth and contributes £8.4 billion to the Northern economy annually – £5.2 billion through its operations and £3.2 billion from the connectivity it provides. What’s more, the airport supports over 100,000 jobs across the region, with over 19,000 people working on-site across approximately 145 businesses. Of these, more than 3,500 are directly employed by the airport itself.

This year also marks the near-completion of Manchester Airport’s £1.3 billion transformation programme that has brought major expansions and improvements to the airport. Central to this is the redevelopment of Terminal 2, which offers a state-of-the-art passenger experience, greater operational efficiency, and increased capacity.

Manchester Airport’s connectivity, scale, and ongoing investment ensure it remains a premier choice for airlines, tour operators, and travel service providers.
